I’ll harbor no regrets
No unspoken words
This heart torn wide open
No stone left unturned

My soul an open book
Words I write in you
Risking all I know
To see this love through

Always unconditional
Sometimes unrequited
A heart wrenching joy
Moments uninvited

Forgiveness has no mercy
Mournfully lacking grace
Pain we cause each other
Memories we can’t erase

Darkness serves its purpose
Short sighted and self absorbed
Unfortunately those attributes
Don’t look that good anymore

History forms our destiny
Searching for redemption
My sacrificial self
With only good intentions

Closure is not my answer
