Picture Perfect
Picture Perfect
Look into this picture, beyond the words
What do you see?
Do you see picture perfect blue eyes
Or black and blue Hand made by me?
Glamorous lives of the rich and famous
Not always the case
We all have our skeletons behind closed doors
Demons to be erased
Everything lost in pain and darkness
waiting for the light
Running to escape from myself
No energy left to fight
Releasing strongholds in my life
With a crippling ripple of consequence
Hiding from my greatest help
Constantly battling my own defense
It’s both beautiful and tragic
The way we fall apart
To you my life seems picture perfect
We are all just broken hearts
When hopelessness takes over you
Redemption is on your knees
He’s waiting patiently to lift you
His saving grace is all you need
When you are standing on the ledge
Just know you aren’t alone
Even picture perfect people go astray
We need to find our way back home
This is both beautiful and sad to me. You are so talented.
